Kenny H. Her name is Cassie, she works at her family local business as a waiter. Unfortunately Cassie is not normally like the rest of the world. And no she’s not a superhero, she just a girl who got really good at reading emotions. Cassie is extremely good at it , one time in the story these two guys was eating lunch at her job. And she knew the guy on the right need cup of water and the guy on the left needed more peppers before they even ask. Or when she was visiting the FBI she read these lady down to bone. She stopped she was married, no kids, and when she started in the FBI it had to be a boy’s club. So far in the story Cassie I Can tell she is a strong young women who is not afraid of any obstacle in her way. Cassie Family is very close to and she will do anything for them. Cassie reminds me of myself but without the mind reading.
Adam Hogan Mrs. Scheller 2 Hour Cassie can't read emotions that is Micheal ability. Cassie can does like Micheal but doesn't like it because she can"t ready him Because his personality keeps changing.
Anna Hackstadt Mrs. Sheller hour 5 Cassie being a strong woman and overcoming any obstacle in her way is going to start causing conflicts between her and the FBI agents because she is going to want to work on her mother's case and Agent Briggs will not let her. She keeps trying to get information on the case that the agents are working on, which involves her mother's, because she still has questions that remain unanswered about the case and it is holding her in the past.
Adam Hogan Mrs. Scheller 2nd Hour Cassie is a girl who can profile people based off their actions. She is a waiter at a diner she tries not to profile the people but she knows what they want before they even tell her what they what. Her mother taught her how to do that but never had the chance to grow up with her daughter because she was murdered in her dressing room. One Day the FBI came to offer her a change to join a program, and she thinks they are here to find her mom murderer so she joins the program. When she gets there she finds that their are 4 other people in the program. The beginning takes place in Colorado in a small town then a small house in Washington D.C.
Anna Hackstadt Mrs. Scheller hour 5 I think that the setting change of moving from her small town in Colorado to Washington D.C. is going to affect Cassie mentally and as a person. With living in a small town Cassie does not have to get along with people that much but living in the house in Washington D.C. is making her have to get along with the four new people because she needs to be able to work well with them in order to assist on cases.
The setting changes over the course of the book. It starts in a diner in Colorado. The main character Cassie works here. Working here allows Cassie to practice her skills as a profiler and predict what people are going to ask for or do next. The time that the story takes place in is modern time. This affects the plot because there are many things in the story that would not make sense if it was in another time. The FBI has a private jet that they can take to different areas on cases. Sloane, a girl at the FBI house that Cassie currently resides in, uses advanced technology to help her run simulations and tests. The setting changes early in the story to be at a house that other naturals stay at. It is important for the story that they are together because they work off of each other, especially Dean and Cassie, in order to solve simulated or real cases. Cassie adapts well to the new environment of the FBI house. I know that if I had to move somewhere with a bunch of pompous kids that are full of themselves I would not last a week.
Adam Hogan Mrs. Scheller 2 Hour They don't have the technology to do the simulations they are real and kill them if they are not careful. They kids don't not leave the house for cases they do it in the house they are in. they do have laptops and phones to be on during their down time. They also have some one to watch them when the agents are away on cases.
The story takes place in a house in Washington D.C. Cassie moved to this house from Colorado it is the home of kids who have a natural ability to read people how they think if they are telling lies if they are happy or sad there are 4 other kids not including Cassie so she lies less and try's to hide her emotions from the others she is always trying to reed the others but they are trying not to be red at the same time it would be hard to adapt to being the smartest person in the room and being able to know someone with one look to have to work hard to read someone and everyone else is reading you.
Anna Hackstadt Mrs. Scheller hour 5 I think that having to live with the four people in the house is changing Cassie's character. Not being able to lie about things because of the human lie detector Lia, makes her have to be honest to them about things like her mother’s death and who she loves. Cassie is also used to hiding her feelings from her family and how she feels about them, but living in the house with the emotion reader Michael has made her have to try extra hard to conceal her emotions about things.
Adam Hogan. Mrs. Scheller 2 Hour Cassie is 17 years old is different from most people. She likes to see how people live there life. She tried it to see how Michel lives his life but she can't figure his what his life was before he join the program and Michel tried to get under her skin. She has a heart for new family but has trouble showing it, but Michael can see it. She feels like an outsider when she comes to the house for the first time. She also feel like dean hate her. She also doesn't like Lia because she can tell if you are lying or not
Anna Hackstadt Mrs. Scheller A character's actions that I disagree with in the story at the moment are Dean's. When Cassie was first brought into the program he was not pleasant to her. He should have helped her transition into the program because it was obvious that Cassie was not going to leave. Also when Cassie found out about Dean's father, Dean kinda lost it on her saying things like "have you ever wondered why I do not have to try as hard to get into the killer's head, because I get it, I on some level understand why." Cassie did not assume that Dean was like his father, although her action of prying was wrong. Dean said that the statistics show that Cassie is wrong in saying that Dean is not his father. Cassie is not wrong because just because he was around his father and is genetically predisposed to the mentality of someone like his father, does not mean that Dean will become him, all it means is that he is able to understand "why" a bit better.
Adam Hogan Mrs. Scheller 2 Hour I disagree with Briggs action because you could use the naturals to help you solve the murders of the people in Washington D.C. and who ever the abduction of the governor's daughter. I also disagree with what Locke did to get to Cassie by flagging her in the FBI database because she could of got caught and arrested before she got Cassie. She also shot Michel and hit dean where they could not stop her but she could've just sent them home. Locke should of also cover her tracks if she did want to be captured and arrested for murder.
Anna Hackstadt Mrs. Scheller hour 5 I also disagree with Briggs trying to keep Cassie off the case because Cassie is a natural and if she felt that the case is linked to her mother's death, she is probably right. Cassie was the one who found the crime scene of her mother's murder and would be able to see any similarities better than the other agents.
Anna Hackstadt Mrs. Scheller hour 5 The conflict in the story that I think is the most important, is between the members of the naturals team and the unknown subject of the investigation. This is the major conflict because the way that the killer goes about killing is starting to change. It started as something that the killer was doing to satisfy the need, but now they are trying to get Cassie's attention and make her relive finding her mother's body. Now the members do not know who to trust in the FBI because there is a leak, so they are trying to solve the case before the killer strikes again or gets Cassie.
bryan cannon mrs. Scheller yes i agree that is the main conflict and it is that the killer is killing and wants to kill cassie this is vary bad for cassie cassie needs to find the killer because thy have a hostage also it is bad that the killer is now sending messages to cassie
Bryan Cannon Mrs. Scheller 5th hour the main conflict of the story is that the naturals are trying to find a serial killer and the case is related to cassies mothers death because the killer is killing red heads and Psychics cassies mother is both. cassie was working on the case when she found out the killer wanted her and sent her a package with red hair and now cassie is being hunted by the person she was hunting now it is a hunt to make sure the killer dose not kill any one else and the killer has a hostage and its a senators daughter so time is of the essence
Anna Hackstadt Mrs. Scheller hour 5 I agree that the main conflict in the story is between the naturals and the serial killer. The conflict is going to get more heated as the team gets closer to finding out who the unsub is because there is a leak in the FBI. This means the killer will know more about their target, Cassie, and know how close the FBI is to finding them.
bryan cannon mrs. Scheller no i dissagre briggs choice to keep her off the case was justified because it is related to her mothers death and her emotions could get in the way she could get tunnel vision and only think that the person that killed her mother is a certain way
Anna Hackstadt Mrs. Scheller hour 5 I think that the theme of the book is that not everyone is who they seem to be. This is important to the book because the killer was someone who was very close to all of the naturals and had their trust, and then the killer planned to set up Dean for the killings. The murderer also used their position to scare Cassie and give her creepy “presents” like a tube of lipstick that was in the color that her mother used, and a lock of hair from the latest victim. Dean also was not the person he seemed to be because he started off the book with a very cold exterior but as time went on, he showed his true colors and risked his life to help Cassie even though he was also almost killed by the murderer.
Bryan Cannon Mrs. Scheller the theme of the naturals is that your past doesn't define you but can help lead you to become the person you want to be for example dean his father was a killer and dean is now stopping killers he saw that his dad was bad and he tried to help stop people like his dad murderers and although cassie's mom was murdered that doesn't mean she is a helpless victim or how her aunt is a killer that tried to kill her cassie used both her mother's death and her aunts attempt to murder her to want to get better at finding killers and stopping them on the other hand cassie's aunt was abused and now she is killing because her sister left her she has let her past define her and she is killing because of it
Anna Hackstadt Mrs. Scheller hour 5 I agree that a theme of the book is that your past does not define you, and even though Lacey Hobbes turned into a killer because she was abused, this story still shows it well because Dean does not take after his father and Cassie is not a helpless victim just because her mom died.
